Tekapo Orchard Grass
Tekapo Orchard Grass is a New Zealand type grazing grass that exhibits very low crown and dense prostrate growth that tolerates grazing well. It has outperformed many other orchard grasses in feed value, digestibility, and palatability. Tekapo produces a very thick and dense stand that can persist even under hard, continuous grazing. The long, soft leaves provide very palatable feed. The medium to late maturity matches will with alfalfa and other legumes—making it ideal for pasture as well as hay production. It can be grazed at near ground level; perfect for sheep, cow, and horse grazing.
